player stops working after plugin enabled

I first installed the flowplayer module and set it up to appear on my frontpage. It worked great.
Then I installed the flowplayer plugin so I use it on article pages where needed and it works fine but the player on the homepage stopped working.  Can only one of these be enabled at the same time or am I doing something wrong.
